Lorenz Oken (1779-1851) A German transcendental naturalist, a physician, and philosopher. He was profoundly influenced by Pythagorean mysticism, which is reflected in his writings. Of which his most important is the 13 volume "Naturgeschichte für alle Stände" (Natural History for all Social Ranks) from which this print was acquired.
