Victorian Porcelain Owl Lamp, c.1880
Porcelain owl bust oil lamp, circa 1880.
Owl bust modeled with detailed feather texturing, mottled brown and white glazes, yellow glass eyes, tufted ears; gilded round foot rim; brass burner with pierced crown top; raised on later ebonized wood base. Modeling and glaze characteristic of German potteries. Candelabra sockets and vintage in-line switch. New shade.
Porcelain owl 6 ½ inches tall; base 7 ⅜ inches wide; overall 22 inches high with shade (10 ½ inches wide by 7 ½ inches high).
Condition: Good overall with light wear and dings black finished base.
