Custom frame is beautifully hand crafted from figured maple. Elaborate spline joints and beveled profile with rounded inner corners. Antiqued dark amber finish.
Condition is very good overall. Tissue paper has been well archived with no signs of foxing or browning. There is some wrinkling to the paper and light lateral creases can be seen when viewed closely.
Bio: Austrian photographer Heinrich Kühn was a pioneering pictorialist and close friend of Alfred Stieglitz and Edward Steichen. A forefather of fine art photography, Kühn used soft lighting and focus to give photography a painterly quality.
