The painting is in excellent condition and is protected under a triple mat with a fabric-wrapped top mat. The frame is made of native Hawaiian Koa wood and is in good condition with some light scratches and wear. Depicts the Calasa Garage and Service Station as it was in April, 1977 as a shell station with old Chevy racer on the hill.
Curtis Wilson Cost has lived most of his life in Maui and is its most well-known artist. He paints in a classical realist style that captures everyday scenes, landscapes and seascapes in his native Maui.
