A Black Forest chamois horn and claw desk set with candle holders, 19th century.

The desk set includes pounce pot and dish, quill holder and inkpot. Two matching candles with roe deer rose burr joining chamois horn to claws; the other with carved horn. All on ebony bases.

Dimensions: Base of writing set 4 ¾ inches wide. Tallest candle holder: 3 inches wide by 7 ½ inches tall.

Condition: Good with small losses.
