Bjørn Wiinblad (Danish, 1918–2006), celebrated Danish artist and designer famed for his whimsical, fairy-tale figures, stylized faces, and vibrant theatre posters, renders the dancer with his signature ornamental flair—mask-like yellow face, elaborate headdress and floral details, subtle stylized foliage backdrop, and saturated yellow-green-teal palette, in keeping with his extensive ballet and performance designs.
