Bust of Laocoön, after the Antique, 20th Century

A cast bust of Laocoön after the Hellenistic marble group in the Vatican Museums, taken from the central figure of the priest. The head is thrown back and turned, with the brow drawn and the mouth open, set in thick curls and a full beard. The torso is cut below the chest, and both arms end at the upper arm.

The bust is hollow and has a porous, stone-like surface with grey in the recesses.
