English pine linen press, circa 19th century, with bleached surface and green painted interior.
Molded cornice above pair of panel doors opening to three slides; lower section with two short drawers over two long drawers, all with turned wooden knobs and raised on bracket feet. The case retains its original pine character with later bleaching that has softened the tone of the wood.
43 ¼ inches wide by 20 ¼ inches deep by 81 ¾ inches tall.
Displays age-related shrinkage, surface wear, cracks to front and side panels, losses, and some repairs at hinges consistent with use and period construction; overall stable presentation.
