Chinese famille rose 'Wu Shuang Pu' square vase lamps, 19th Century.
Square-section vases with angular shoulders; four-sided bodies hand-painted on each face with Wu Shuang Pu portraits of figures in embroidered robes (scholar, warrior, beauty, etc.), framed by calligraphy couplets and floral sprigs; lion mask ring handles; fitted with brass hardware on square wood bases.
7 ½ inches wide by 6 ½ inches deep by 29 inches tall (adjustable stem); 17 ½ inches to top of vase.
Repaired break to one vase edge; stable presentation appropriate to age; one shade with torn liner; wear and losses to wood bases.
